About Us
LTM Energy is an Energy Services Company (ESCO) with a unique blend of skills and experience obtained primarily in the energy industry. LTM Energy uses globally benchmarked technological expertise and capacity to provide clients with customised and meaningful energy and operating data portfolios. We develop energy management solutions that comply with ISO 50 001, King 3 and South Africa’s renewable energy policy and regulations.
Our complete energy audit package enables us to balance energy usage to renewable energy and energy efficiency and includes consultancy, auditing and an energy-efficiency ‘toolkit’ to deal with:
- Compliance with legislation and regulations
- Goal setting, measurement and monitoring
- ISO 14000 verification
- Financial modelling
- Funding facilitation
- Information gathering
- Trials and testing using measurement equipment
- Continuous improvement
- Client-specific energy efficiency tools
It is a progressive company that is passionate about creativity and innovation and is committed to the long-term vision of a prosperous and crime-free South Africa. The world is entering a period of energy scarcity and South Africa’s previously abundant electricity reserves have now been eroded.
Our mission is to develop sustainable energy management solutions for our customers.
LTM only supplies panels from the Top Tier manufacturers – these are the largest global manufacturers, AND have the best quality rating as per independent survey done by Bloomberg.
Energy Management
The services that are provided fall in line with the development of strategy and the education of operational personnel to implement Energy Efficiency in a facility/organisation. LTM Energy is perfectly suited to provide a multitude of services to our clients in the following vital pillars of energy management
- Development and implementation of energy-efficient strategies and policies for an organisation or facility
- Performance of audits to develop baseline of the energy usage within a facility and then to identify areas where energy-management opportunities exist
- Development of projects that can be implemented using:
- UNFCCC Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)
- Client Funding
- ESKOM’s subsidised funding and rebate programme
- Project implementation of retrofits, EEDSM projects, CDM projects
- Greenfields projects
- Development and management of operation and maintenance activities
The Energy Management business line assumes that there is a difference between what the end-use customer requires in an electricity supply contract and what the utility is capable of offering in terms of the regulated business.
KEY ASSOCIATIONS & VALUE ADD
EDGE (“Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies”) is a green building certification system for emerging markets created by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. EDGE comes out of a partnership between the GBCSA, World Bank Group member The International Finance Corporation (IFC), and local roll-out partners The National Home Builder Registration Council (NHBRC). EDGE is a measurable way for residential developers to optimize the performance of their building design and be rewarded for resource efficiency through certification. The Green Building Council of South Africa is the exclusive certification services provider for IFC within the country.
The EDGE rating requires achieving savings of 20% in each of the three categories: operational energy and water usage and a reduction in the embodied energy of materials used in the project’s construction.
Our Green Star and EDGE Certifications adds value by being able to Advise, Construct and Implement on Energy, Water saving measures, and Internal Comfort attributes of buildings which have long term financial savings and productivity benefits for the Client as well as Environmental benefits throughout the use and enjoyment of the building. We can add value to our clients that want PV and Water Efficiency technology. We continuously research Alternate building technologies to determine the best alternate methods to conventional South African building methods. It is a testament to our commitment to responsible and sustainable building practices and efforts towards reducing the negative impacts to the Environment.
