SOME OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES
WesBank and First National Bank’s (FNB’s) 150 000 square meter campus, based in Fairlands, Johannesburg, installed a 2100 kWp solar PV plant across 1 010 parking bays, helping reduce the campus’s carbon footprint by 3785 tonnes per year. The companies initiated the project in 2015, after commissioning a feasibility study to establish the possibility of replacing ageing carports with solar panels.
LTM Energy designed and installed a 792 kWp off-grid Solar Farm on AL3 Boerdery’s Koppieskraal farm in the Northern Cape, to supply 8 x 55kW booster pumps. Solar energy is used to transfer about 80 000kL water per day to a holding dam 2.8 km from the river, at a height of 58m. AL3’s aim is to promote sustainable farming, to have zero reliance on the national electricity grid and to save approximately 1.6 million kWh of grid electricity per year.
LTM Energy has embarked on a new journey with Edison Property Group to develop the biggest solar PV project to date in KZN. The 2,1MWp solar PV system will be implemented into 2 phases. 1,172MWp that was completed at Stanger Mall in July 2019 followed by 900kWp as part of phase 2. The Power Purchase Agreement will generate well over 1,500,000 kWh of clean energy yearly while reducing the malls reliance on conventional power supply.
LTM Energy designed & implemented custom built off-grid borehole water supply & water treatment solutions which provides the Tshikota village community with water using solar energy supply. CCBSA fully funded the project which positively impacts over 2600 households by providing clean water for drinking, sanitation, cleaning, cooking & subsistence farming purposes.
